The Castle Inn in Congleton, Cheshire, has a history dating back to 1820 when it was built on the site of Puddle Bank Farm. Originally, it was two cottages that were transformed into a haven for travellers, colliers, and local residents. It became a popular meeting place and served as a respite for those along the old train lines. The Castle Inn is known for its rustic charm, warm atmosphere, and locally sourced food.
